Wyevale Humming Bird House
Following the successful completion of their head offices in London, The Lotus Group, appointed Brennan to construct their new regional offices in Croydon
The Task
The £5.3 million project required the remodeling of a derelict garden center site into a modern fit for purpose office building suitable for the Employers growing business.
The works involved careful partial demolition of the existing garden center buildings, refurbishment and upgrading of the retained elements and various new build additions.
A new external envelope was created with a combination of Carea Rainscreen cladding, through colour render and aluminum curtain walling, windows and doors. Internally the building was fully fitted out to a high standard to create workspaces and ancillary areas, all centered around a new entrance reception area with a feature spiral staircase
The results
Complex MEPH systems were installed to ensure compliance with current regulations and staff comfort, including a Frenger passive chilled beam system installed above ceilings.
Finally, comprehensive alterations to the external areas provided new car parking, comprehensive planting and landscaping and discrete break out areas for staff.
