The Courtyard
This Design and Build project allowed Brennan to exercise our strengths in terms of logistics and construct a high-quality building with top quality finishes.
The Works
- Underpinning the party wall and piling the site
- Raising of the slab to alleviate the flood risk
- Lightweight steel frame with timber joist flooring and SFS cavity brickwork
- External works to pave courtyard and maintain the heritage cobbled access road
- Comprehensive sign off of planning conditions imposed by the London Borough of Richmond
The Results
The Courtyard project was registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, achieving ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ and also met the exacting standards of BREEAM, achieving a ‘Very Good’ score for the commercial units.
The finished building is an example of how well a project can be executed when there is a synergy between architect, contractor and consultants.
